FIB UNDIP – The Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University (FIB UNDIP) commemorates Heroes’ Day on November 10, 2025. FIB Undip invites the entire extended family to reflect on the true meaning of this moment, in addition to respecting the services and roles of the independence fighters but also the future of the nation and country which involves the desire to revive the spirit of struggle within oneself.
The Meaning of Heroes’ Day: From the Battlefield to Daily Life
Heroes’ Day is not only celebrated through ceremonies, prayers, or others. But also through action, spirit, and work. Through that spirit, the academic community is reminded that today’s struggle also exists, the difference is, no longer taking up arms. Instead of struggling through knowledge, work, creativity, and social concern.
FIB Undip emphasized that being a hero in the modern era can start from simple things such as maintaining unity, caring for others, preserving culture, and contributing positively to society. In that way, the spirit of the heroes can continue to live and be relevant in this fast-paced and digital era.

As a faculty rooted in the values of humanities and culture, FIB Undip believes that the spirit of heroes can also be realized through the world of education and scientific work.
Lecturers and students are expected to be able to revive that spirit by continuing to think critically, innovate, and produce works that are beneficial to the nation.
