FIB UNDIP – The Faculty of Humanities of Diponegoro University (FIB UNDIP) is once again becoming a cross-campus academic meeting room. On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the Department of History of FIB UNDIP received a visit to the Student Work Lecture (KKM) from the S1 History Study Program of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Indonesia (FIB UI). This activity took place at Art Center A Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus, Semarang.

This visit is part of the FIB UI academic agenda in Semarang as well as a forum for strengthening the scientific network between historical study programs in Indonesia.

Academic Friendship and Idea Exchange Event

The series of activities begins with the opening, followed by singing the Great Indonesia song as a symbol of national spirit and academic unity. The first greeting was delivered by a representative of the Department of Historical Sciences FIB UI who emphasized the importance of intercampus collaboration in the development of historical studies.

FIB UNDIP officially welcomed this visit through the speech of the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Studies UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S., M.Hum. In his speech, the Dean of FIB UNDIP emphasized FIB UNDIP’s commitment to continue to open up space for academic dialogue, collaborative research, and exchange of ideas for the advancement of humanities, especially history.

Handing over Souvenirs and Photos Together

As a symbol of friendship and academic cooperation, the activity continued with the handover of souvenirs between representatives of FIB UI and FIB UNDIP. This moment was then immortalized through a joint photo session involving lecturers and students from both institutions.

Parallel Discussion: Historical Research and Curriculum

Entering the core session, the activity is divided into two parallel forums. The student forum discusses the Historical Research Orientation in Semarang, with the presentation of the material by Dr. Rabith Jihan Amaruli, S.S., M.Hum., and moderated by Desi Susanti, S.Hum., M.Hum. This discussion becomes a space for mutual reflection for students to understand the dynamics of historical research at the local and regional levels.

Meanwhile, the lecturer forum is focused on curriculum discussion. This forum becomes a forum for exchanging views regarding the development of an adaptive, contextual, and relevant history curriculum with the challenges of the times.

FIB UNDIP as a Humanities Meeting Room

This KKM visit involved 13 lecturers and 66 students from FIB UI. Their presence at FIB UNDIP confirms the role of the Faculty of Cultural Studies UNDIP as an open, collaborative, and networked humanities development center.

Through this activity, FIB UNDIP not only strengthens the relationship between higher education institutions, but also enriches the academic experience of lecturers and students in a critical and constructive dialogue atmosphere.

In the future, this kind of synergy is expected to continue as part of the joint efforts to advance the study of history and cultural science in Indonesia.
