As a linguistics academic with a consistent focus since undergraduate level, my expertise is deeply ingrained in the field of sociopragmatics. My teaching experience includes courses in Descriptive Linguistics and Sociopragmatics at the undergraduate level, as well as Sociolinguistics and Cross-Cultural Pragmatics at the graduate level. This academic dedication is reinforced by a significant research track record, ranging from a master’s thesis on implicature to a doctoral dissertation examining the phenomenon of compliments in Javanese from a sociopragmatic perspective. This expertise is also reflected in various scientific publications in national and international journals, such as studies on politeness in social media and strategies for responding to compliments in Javanese, which confirm my contribution to understanding language interactions in complex socio-cultural contexts.
