FIB UNDIP – The Multipurpose Building (GSG) FIB Undip seemed to be crowded with dozens of enthusiastic students on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. They gathered to participate in the KKN Literacy Thematic Briefing activity, a crucial first step before these students were officially deployed directly into the community.
This event was officially opened through a warm welcome from the Dean of FIB Undip, Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, M.Hum. After opening, the briefing session continued with a comprehensive material presentation by the Coordinator of KKN Thematic Literacy, Dra. Ana Irhandayaningsih, M.Sc. Interestingly, this service program is not only followed by FIB students, but the result of cross-disciplinary collaboration involving students from various faculties at Diponegoro University.
Strategic Collaboration and Service Area Focus
In its implementation, this Thematic KKN program is the result of strategic cooperation between Diponegoro University and the Archives and Library Office (Arpusda) of Central Java Province. This collaboration is designed to create a strong synergy between the academic world and local government programs.
This year, Boyolali Regency was chosen to be the main location of service. The cross-faculty students will later spread out and serve in four potential villages, namely:
- Banyudono Village
- Tawangsari Village
- Sobokerto Village
- Teras Village
Preparing Literacy Change Agents in the Village
In order to be ready to become change agents in society, students are equipped with various important materials during their stay at GSG. The material given includes an in-depth understanding of the KKN philosophy, the cultivation of ethics and discipline in the field, literacy program development techniques, and digital communication utilization strategies.
Through these supplies, students are expected to be able to make real and sustainable contributions. The main focus is to revive the culture of citizen literacy, develop the Community Reading Park (TBM), and empower the village library to become a creative learning center. Hopefully this KKN Thematic Literacy 2026 runs successfully and brings a wide positive impact to the Boyolali community!
