FIB UNDIP – The Faculty of Humanities of Diponegoro University (FIB UNDIP) continues to be committed to expanding its academic achievements in the international arena. This real step was realized through a cooperative visit to Universiti Malaya (UM), one of the leading universities ranked in the top 56 in the world according to the QS World University Rankings.
The FIB UNDIP delegation is led directly by the Dean of Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, M.Hum., accompanied by the Head of the Master of Linguistics Study Program, Prihantoro, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. The presence of the FIB team was warmly welcomed by the leaders of the Faculty of Language and Linguistics of Universiti Malaya, including the Dean Prof. Dr. Surinderpal Kaur Chanan Singh, FASc, Vice Dean Prof. Madya Dr. Patricia Nora Riget, and the Coordinator of the Master of Linguistics Study Program Dr. Ready Bie Soh.
Strengthen Interdisciplinary Research and Academic Collaboration
In the meeting, Prof. Alamsyah explained the great potential that FIB UNDIP has, starting from 6 S1 study programs, 3 Master’s programs (S2), to Doctoral programs (S3) History. He emphasized the importance of building a strategic partnership that can have a positive impact on both institutions.
“We are committed to developing interdisciplinary research and international collaboration. The partnership with Universiti Malaya opens up golden opportunities for cultural exchange, academic development, and strengthening the quality of publications,” said Prof. Alamsyah.
This meeting is not only a place for formal discussion, but also colored by the exchange of souvenirs and the signing of initial cooperation documents as the foundation of the future partnership.
Program Realization: 2027 International Conference to Visiting Professor
Not just a discourse, this cooperation immediately produces concrete steps. As a form of initial realization, the representative from Universiti Malaya, Dr. Amir Rashad, is scheduled to visit the FIB UNDIP campus in Tembalang.
Both parties have agreed to work on a number of collaborative programs, including joint publication, visiting professor program, until the 2027 International Conference which was jointly initiated by FIB UNDIP and the Faculty of Language and Linguistics of the University of Malaya.
This synergy is expected to be a solid foothold for FIB UNDIP to continue to print a global academic reputation and expand the scientific horizons of lecturers and students.
