Nyepi Day is a significant moment for Hindus to engage in self-reflection, purify the heart, and find serenity in silence. On this 1947 Saka New Year, the Faculty of Humanities (FIB) Diponegoro University (Undip) Family extends heartfelt greetings to everyone observing Nyepi Day.
The Dean of FIB Undip, Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, M.Hum., expressed his hope that this sacred occasion brings tranquility, prosperity, and wisdom to all.
“May the Saka New Year bring peace, prosperity, and wisdom to us all.”

Hari Raya Nyepi 1947 Saka.
Nyepi Day teaches the importance of harmony with nature and fellow beings. Through the observance of Catur Brata Penyepian, amati geni (refraining from lighting fires), amati karya (abstaining from work), amati lelanguan (avoiding entertainment), and amati lelungan (not traveling). Hindus are encouraged to turn inward, reflect on their life journey, and strengthen their spirituality.
In today’s fast-paced world, the values of Nyepi remain highly relevant to all. This sacred day serves as a reminder of the importance of pausing from daily busyness, calming the mind, and reconnecting with nature and the environment.
The FIB Undip Family hopes that the spirit of Nyepi Day brings positive energy, strengthens tolerance, and spreads peace throughout Indonesia. Happy Nyepi Day 1947 Saka!
