Teater Emka, one of the most celebrated student activity units (UKM) at the Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University (FIB Undip), successfully held an event titled “Majelis Budaya” (Cultural Assembly). The event took place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the FIB Undip Art Center Building, and was met with great enthusiasm.
Starting at 9:00 AM (WIB), the event showcased a series of performances ranging from poetry readings and music to theater and dance that blended elements of literature and art with a deeply emotional atmosphere.

The event opened with a welcome from the MC and Chairperson of Teater Emka, Damar Hisam Dwi Pasha, followed by speeches from the Dean of FIB Undip, Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, M.Hum., the Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, Eta Farmacelia Nurulhady, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., and a lecturer Fitrilya Anjarsari, M.A.
In his address, Prof. Alamsyah expressed high appreciation for the students’ artistic passion. He hoped that Majelis Budaya would serve as a meaningful space for student self-expression, positively influencing the intellectual and creative climate at FIB Undip.
“This event shows that art and culture are inseparable from academic life. May Majelis Budaya become an inspiring platform that strengthens students’ character, emotional depth, and sensitivity to social and humanitarian issues,” said Prof. Alamsyah.

Poetic and Artistic Performances Filled with Emotion
Majelis Budaya featured poetry readings by several young FIB Undip writers, touching on themes of love, pain, anger, and social injustice.
Here are some of the poems performed:

The stage was also energized by musical performances from WMS (Wadah Musik Sastra) and several dynamic performing art showcases.

A Heartfelt Ending and Hopes for the Future
The audience and performers alike were visibly moved and joyful, having witnessed a wide range of student-created works born from passion and creativity.
Majelis Budaya was not just an ordinary art stage, it became a symbol of the cultural spirit of FIB Undip students, reflecting their desire to grow, speak out, and bring color to the ever-evolving dynamics of campus life.
