AREA OF EXPERTISE/RESEARCH INTEREST OF LECTURER

Rabith Jihan Amaruli is an academic and researcher in the field of history, especially socio-cultural history related to the dynamics of society and cultural identity in Indonesia as well as the history of thought. He has special interests relating to Muslim communities and the development of religious traditions in local communities. He also pays attention to the history of the Arab-Hadhrami community in the coastal region of Java, including the dynamics of identity, social networks, and cultural influences that developed in society. Through a historiographic approach and historical methodology, the research results seek to understand how past events shape the social and cultural identities of today’s society.
