AREA OF EXPERTISE/RESEARCH INTEREST OF LECTURER
My research interests lie in economic anthropology, particularly in examining how economic processes are embedded in social relations, moral values, and everyday life. I focus on how communities negotiate market expansion, labor mobility, entrepreneurship, and family economic dynamics amid ongoing socio-economic transformations. Using ethnographic and interpretive approaches, my research explores themes such as moral economy, reciprocity, social capital, and the transformation of kinship and care practices within contemporary capitalism. Through these inquiries, I seek to understand how individuals and families make economic decisions not merely as rational actors, but as social subjects situated within networks of cultural norms, ethical commitments, and structural constraints.
