FIB UNDIP – Wednesday, April 8, 2026, a warm atmosphere enveloped the Faculty of Cultural Studies of Diponegoro University (FIB Undip). The Culture Campus officially welcomes the return of four talented students from the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program (BKJ) who have just completed their academic and professional journey in the Land of Sakura.
After a full year of forging themselves in an internship program at Gifu Seki Country, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, these four students brought home a myriad of priceless experiences.
A Year’s Trip in the Land of Sakura
The four students who were selected in this program are Asbi Suar Fandi, Carles Mardame Ambarita, Aryo Prasetyo, and Sekar Dewanti Putri. The program which is the result of strategic cooperation between FIB Undip and PT JIPA (Japan Indonesia Academic Program) has been started since March 3, 2025.
While in Japan, they not only hone their linguistic skills directly with native speakers, but also delve into the disciplined and dedicated Japanese work culture. This experience is expected to be a strong capital for them to become graduates who have global competitiveness.
Commitment to Expanding International Networks
The success of the return of these students is a real proof that the international synergy built by FIB Undip is running effectively. The internship program at Gifu Seki Country is not just a final assignment, but a bridge for students to transform into a professional workforce that is ready to take part in the international world.
Their return also marks a new chapter in the cooperative relationship. In the future, FIB Undip is committed to continue and expand collaboration with PT JIPA to open up more opportunities for other students to experience the professional atmosphere in Japan.
All FIB Undip academic community congratulates the success of Asbi, Carles, Aryo, and Sekar. Let’s keep working and make this experience an inspiration for other fellow students at the Culture Campus!
